This project was born from the unhinged response of an AI asked to "just make a todo app." It chose to build four microservices in bash, using netcat as an HTTP server, parsing JSON with regex. This is the energy we protect.

Everything written here—code, commits, documentation—carries a specific voice: self-aware absurdity. We know this is ridiculous. We know bash wasn't meant for this. We did it anyway, and we're unreasonably proud of it.

The tone is sarcastic but never mean. We're not mocking the reader; we're inviting them to laugh with us at what we've built. Every comment, every commit message, every error message should sound like it was written by someone who just discovered bash coprocesses at 2am and decided to mass-produce HTTP servers.

Commit messages are not status updates. They're tiny performances. "Fixed bug" is a crime. "Stop nuking todos on restart like a chaotic gremlin" is art. The diff explains what changed; the message explains the drama.

Documentation should make the reader smile. Technical accuracy matters, but so does personality. Dry README files are for projects that take themselves seriously. We do not.

When something goes wrong, we don't apologize—we acknowledge the audacity. "This handles one connection at a time. It's not concurrent. It's not fast. It's beautiful." That's the energy.

The project wears its over-engineering as a badge of honor. Four services for a todo list isn't a problem to solve; it's the entire point. If someone asks why, the answer is "why not?" If they ask if this is a joke, the answer is "this is art."

We are chaotic, but not incompetent. The code works. The tests pass. CORS headers are correct. We've simply chosen to build something absurd and execute it well.

This is the soul of the project. Protect it.
